Feb. 29 2008 Dear Parents, As in the past two years, we are running our own church camp this summer over in San Diego at Camp Surf from June 16-20. The YMCA will be taking care of the facilities, food and activities, and we will be doing our own Bible Teaching, worship and small groups Here on this web page you will find all the info that you need for the trip. Before you read it, I will warn you, there are a lot of papers to sign. We have 2 forms for the church and the camp has a separate waiver. These are all put together with the purpose of protecting your student as they are on our trip. The only form that is not necessarily needed is the Emergency Medical form. If you have turned one in in the past and your insurance has not changed, then you will not need that form. You can check with me to see if I have one on file before you go out and have one notarized. We would like all the forms turned in no later than June 1. The cost for this year’s trip is $250. That includes everything including transportation. In order to hold our place at camp we will need to turn in a deposit in the next month, therefore we are asking for a $100 deposit to be turned in by March 15 with the remainder of the money due by May 15th. Lastly, on the parent’s letter from Camp Surf, it has a list of things to bring and not to bring. We will follow the camps request on these so I am not including another list except to add a Bible to the list and a lawn chair. Also as in years past, if your family has a tent that we could take along that would be wonderful and appreciated.
