Infants/Toddlers:
As a children's ministry, it is important to give our children a solid foundation, beginning at birth. Babies as young as six weeks begin to smile at others. They have already learned that there are people in the world who love them, care for their needs, and are learning to trust other adults in addition to their parents. As they come regularly to "Camp Agape", during these formative months/years, our desire is that they will learn that this is not only a safe place, but one where they experience the love of God through the hugs, smiles and care given by our loving staff.
2 years thru Kindergarten:
We are committed to sharing Christ with the children in a safe, friendly and loving environment, through caring and authentic Christ followers. Our goal is that your child will feel welcomed and loved and will grasp the truth of God's love for him/her. We share biblical truths in child targeted, age appropriate, relevant, fun and creative ways, so the children see and experience the truth of God's Word. Children are assigned to a classroom based on the age they are before Sept 1.
Each week the children will experience the following activities in the classroom to enhance the teaching they receive from the Bible. These activities may be rotated each week depending on each lesson plan:
- Opening Activities - Hand's-on activities that introduce the Bible concept for that day's lesson.
- Worship - A time of singing songs to the Lord which are suited for their age level.
- Bible Story - Creative ways are used to help children understand God's Word.
- Craft Time - A fun time to be creative in their learning and use all of their senses.
- Snack Time - Special snacks are prepared for the children. These snacks are sometimes related to the Bible concept.
- Ministry Time - Children are given the opportunity to pray for each other as well as receiving prayer for their needs.
We take great care in the cleanliness and safety of our children's rooms and our loving and caring staff is screened and trained to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of each child.
By providing a safe, loving environment, this will allow you, as the parent, the freedom to worship wholeheartedly without worrying about your child's well-being.
